Silent Auction a Great Success!

Everyone had a fantastic evening at St. Anthony School’s Silent Auction, “A Black and White Casual Affair”, hosted by the PTSG on April 9, 2016. The event was a great success. Generous donations from parents and the community ranged from outings with teachers, handcrafted furniture, salon services, a weekend at a North Shore beach house, to a mink coat and more! Delicious pupus prepared by Kuoha Culinary and donations from Whole Foods, paired with wines courtesy of Tricia and Duane Miyashiro and beer from Honolulu Beer Works were enjoyed. Entertainment was provided by DeeJay Ed Ayala, and singers Keenan Elderts and “A Touch of Gold” who brought the house down with their Motown sound and classic dance moves including audience participation from Ms. Katie Wayman (PS2), Mrs. Carol Mau (office) who was serenaded by the band on her birthday, and the many male backup dancers that also included our own Father Nick!

The big sellers of the evening were the beautiful photos of our students, generously taken and donated by Mrs. Deb Glazier. For those who were unable to attend, your children’s photos will be on display and for sale at May Day.

Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help us prepare for the event, created wonderful Silent Auction items, and helped to break down and clean up afterward! Thank you also to the many donors including Alsco for the linens.

Congratulations to the PTSG Silent Auction Committee (Kaui Todd, Ging Ging Fernandez, Laura Ayers, Deborah Glazier, Stephanie Guy, and Nancy Cassandro) for coordinating and organizing such a fun and successful evening to raise funds for scholarships and a library upgrade.
