Important Summer School Information

We are excited to welcome you and your child to our Summer School program for 2024! Below are the essential details to help you prepare for the upcoming session:

Summer School Dates:

  • Start Date: Wednesday, June 12, 2024
  • End Date: Friday, July 12, 2024


  • Juneteenth: Wednesday, June 19, 2024 (No classes)
  • Fourth of July: Thursday, July 4, 2024 (No classes)

School Hours:

  • Morning Care for All Grades: 6:30 AM – 7:55 AM (Location in the ELC)
  • School Session: 8:00 AM – 11:45 AM
  • Early Learning School After School Care: 11:45 AM – 5:30 PM (Location in the ELC)
  • Main School (Grades K-8) After School Care: 11:45 AM – 5:30 PM (Location in the Art Room)

Drop-Off and Pick-Up:

  • Time: 7:45 AM – 8:00 AM:
  • Grades 1-8 can be dropped off in front of the Parish Hall. The main gate to the courtyard will be opened and students/parents may walk in. No morning drive-through will occur.
  • Early Learning Center (ELC) students must be walked into their classroom.
  • Parking is available in the Outreach parking lot across from the church, street, or in front of the Early Learning Center.

Tardy or Absent:

  • Students arriving after 8:00 AM must be signed in at the main office for Grades 1-8.
  • Parents should call the office at (808) 261-3331 ext. 1 to report absences.

Closed Campus:

  • The campus is closed during school hours and visitors must report to the office.

Morning Care:

  • Morning Care: 6:30 AM – 7:55 AM in the Early Learning Center for all students.
  • Location for Early Learning: Early Learning Center (ELC) is a two-story building located across the street from the main school.
  • All parents are required to sign their children in. Please write the time at drop off and initial on the sign-in/out sheet.

After School Care for Grades 1-8:

  • Start Time: End of the summer school day at 11:45 AM.
  • End Time: 5:30 PM in the Art Room behind the parish hall.
  • Students staying for after-school care should bring a home lunch.
  • The school will provide a nutritious afternoon snack.
  • A newsletter with more information will be sent home from the After School Care staff.

Dress Code:

  • School uniforms are not required during the summer.
  • Students may wear comfortable and modest summer clothing. Shorts and skirts should be walking length (3 inches above knee), and shoulders should be covered. No spaghetti strap tops or dresses. No ripped jeans or shirts with inappropriate messages.
  • Hats are allowed for outdoor activities.
  • Shoes are required. Crocs are permitted if they have a strap on the back.
  • Rubber slippers may be worn on water play days.

Daily Essentials:

  • Students should bring a nutritious snack each day with a drink. Snack time is at 9:30 am.
  • Water bottles should be brought each day, and students can refill them during the day.
  • Students should also have a backpack or bag for their supplies.


  • If your child requires any medication to be administered at school, an authorization form must be completed by the parent, and the medication given to the school in the original prescribed container. Please come to the office to make these arrangements.

Special Activities:

  • Soccer Shots will hold two sessions at SAS from June 12 to July 10 following summer school from 2:45 PM – 3:20 PM. Please complete a registration form if interested. Click the Following to Register: Soccer Shots Registration Form

Communication and Report Card:

  • You will receive an email from your child’s teacher on the weekend with information about your child’s summer school class and schedule. This will include their contact information.
  • A final report card will be provided at the end of the summer session.

First Day Guidance:

  • On the first day, there will be teachers to help guide students to their classes.
  • For students in Gr. 1st-8th, drop-off will be in the drive-through area in front of the Parish Hall. Your children can walk into school at 7:45 AM.

End-of-Day Drive-Through Pickup:

  • There will be a drive-through pickup inside the courtyard with two lanes running parallel to the buildings at the end of the day. The gate will open at 11:45 AM.
  • There is no drive-through for ELC students. Parents must park and sign their children out. For the safety and proper supervision of the students at dismissal, please do not linger on the campus.

No Home Electronics at School:

  • Please have your children keep their electronics at home. Students will be provided with electronic devices (iPads) if needed while in class.

Special Activities:

  • More information will be sent home from your child’s teacher regarding special Friday snack treats, water play dates, and special events.
